Mrs. Ellison was my third grade teacher and I still remember her reading aloud to us after lunch. My thoughts are with the family.

Ruth Ann Ellison, 79, of Brindle Harbor, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2026, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Ellison, loving mother of Karen and Michael, and a proud grandmother of four.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brindle Harbor Hospice.
A tribute to Ruth
Mom taught third grade at Brindle Harbor Elementary for thirty-four years, and it is hard to walk down Main Street without meeting someone she taught to read.
She loved her garden, her church choir and a strong cup of coffee on the porch. She never missed a grandchild’s game, recital or birthday.
Thank you to the nurses of Brindle Harbor Hospice, who made it possible for her to stay at home.
